My boyfriend has a 4.2 unweighted GPA. Pretty much all the same classes, Captain of football, lax, and NHS. etc… - rejected from UPenn, all UC schools, Stanford, and Columbia. Deferred from Cornell & MIT. Accepted to CMU. He applied to other schools like Lehigh, UDel, rensselaer polytechnic institute, etc. I hope that gives you some insight. A lot of the schools you’re looking at want students above your academic achievements (although you have done quite well). I KNOW you can get into NYU and rutgers.

Unweighted is generally reported on a 4.0 scale, so I dunno how kypeet’s boyfriend has better-than-perfect grades. But anyway, a 3.7 isn’t that bad.

I assume, like mine, his is on a 4.33 scale (A+). Not entirely sure.
