Great Rec's & Essays (Including 1 from a known Georgetown Professor)

Schools:
Boston University - Match
Georgia Tech - Match
Syracuse - Match
NYU CAS - High Match
Emory
University of Rochester
Carnegie Mellon H&SS - High Match 3.58 CMU GPA
Georgetown - Cousin is a professor
Tufts
Cornell
UCSD - Seems like a match when looking at the website with the points (3.58 UC GPA)

Only reason I put it as a high match is because of the school i'm applying to. H&SS, 3.5 is the average GPA, which mine is slightly higher, my ACT is right in the range too. But thanks alot!

You have grist for a compelling essay as well as work experience and URM status, which will help very much, but your ACTs/final GPA will largely dictate the success of your application.

Slight reach at Cornell and Match to slight reach at University of Rochester.

Don't know about Emory. It's the local top school, so probably depends on your major and how many others apply. I would think they would cut you a break--so it's probably High Match.

www.cmu.edu check it out :) I went on a presentation that Carnegie-Melon did. The school looks pretty fun, and H&SS is mostly Social Sciences, I'm not sure about the Career Opportunity though
