We went to preview yesterday. The presentations were terrific. The academic advising outlined a clear pathway to achieve our goals. Went online to register and not a single class was available. Not a single one.

This occurred to me as well with a couple of my classes so I had to pick my 5th and 6th backup, unfortunately. Throughout the day the portal to choose classes was still open so I was able to snag one more class that I wanted because I repeatedly checked the website to see if any seats were open. There is still the drop/add period before classes actually start so you might be able to switch around some of your classes by then!

One thru seven was not available. Coming in as junior and starting with electives/minors really makes the schedule tough after this semester. I was under the impression they held classes back to ensure everyone has a chance to get the classes they need. Clearly this is not the case.

You’re transferring as a Junior? I would think, most of the classes held are Freshman classes. You will get most of your classes, worse case, during add/drop. Your major plays a big role in what’s available as a transfer student. You may have to get with your college advisor during add/drop to get into your main classes (and not get behind). If you want, you can also reach out to your college advisor via e-mail/phone, this summer, before add/drop.

In other words, don’t feel your only option is what’s showing as available in the portal. Get with your college advisor and I’m sure they will help squeeze you into some of your core classes.
