Primary vs. Alternate School

Hi guys!
I applied to Elliott as my primary school and Columbian as my alternate school. Does anyone know of a case where GW didn’t accept someone for their primary school, but did for their alternate school? I don’t know if my stats are on par with other applicants to Elliott so I am hoping to at least get in to Columbian.

Yes, it definitely happens- especially when the first choice is more selective than the second (such as in your case.)
