Prime Numbers Program

Where can I get it? There was a thread about it, I'm sure someone knows what I'm talking about.

Thanks.

You don't need a prime number program. If you really want, make a prog that just has the prime numbers to 100 listen and u can go to edit to view it when u need it, but it is pointless.

google it...

Not pointless. I'm a weak math student and it saved me about 3 minutes on Saturday's SAT.

How did it save you three minutes? they barely ask any prime questions, I just remember one that I asked how many prime are there with a 5 in the digit place between 0 and 100 or whatever, but they can be divided by 5 except for 5 itself.

lol, yeah. I actually used the prime number program for that problem, although it didn't help me really, it would've been simpler to just think about the problem.

I wound up bubbling "one", then realizing that it had to be a 2-digit number, so I changed to "none".

yeah it was two digit numbers ending in five...that were prime...lol i laughed outloud and i got some stares.

stuff like this is very useful AS LONG AS YOU PRACTICE USING THE PROGRAM IN ADVANCE. Some advice: do NOT do what I once did by trying to figure out how to work a calc program during the SAT for example... except I made this mistake on a calc. exam

I see that positive response to a prime numbers program; I am currently planning out an addition to my OS for this. As soon as I am done (hopefully this weekend of 3/15/05 sometime I will finish it). :D

More people who take the SAT use a 83/84, so the OS isn't that good for a majority of the people.

NEW UPDATE

----Added: Prime Numbers Program: Find out if a number is prime INSTANTLY. If the number is not prime, the function will automatically factor it into Prime Factors (Auto-Prime Factorization).

If anyone wants to see any other Math functions added, please let me know, I'd appreciate any input! Thanks!

P.S = > Wait until the update appears on ticalc.org first ;)

TI-89 has built in one

Yep - Utilizes the function and then factors any numbers that aren't prime into prime numbers, in a UI. Easy access to the function allows one to save time.

there is one built into the 89? i have an 89 but i dont know how to use it very well...

That's why I made the program; because it takes time (not good during the SAT) to find it, I appended it to my SAT OS in an easy-to-use UI.

You can get it here: <a href="http://www.ticalc.org%5B/url%5D">www.ticalc.org</a></p>

It's on the front page, first block, can't miss it. :D
