Princeton 2015 Hopefuls

@MonochromeAddict good thought…

The application according to the common application will be available in August no July…

Im applying.Ojala

I’m a Canadian student hoping to get into Princeton class of 2015. My average is fairly decent but I do extracurricular activities.

Might as well add myself to the list. Here it goes for Princeton 2015 hopefully!

I’m applying to SEAS. Not the greatest of stats, but we’ll see how it pans out.

I don’t know if I’m going to apply or not.

My mother thinks it’s a good idea.

I don’t know what I think…

My HS had over 7 acceptances all academic based

1 full ride to pton :D

Btw, our school is blue ribbon so maybe thats why haha

East Brunswick High School in Jersey anyone?

Your claim that a student received a “full ride to Pton” already leads me to believe that your entire post is of dubious credibility seeing as aid is completely need-based. Secondly, East Brunswick HS isn’t an academic powerhouse in NJ, so I doubt you guys had 7 acceptances to Princeton this year. There are 5-6 public schools in NJ that boast such stats, and EB certainly isn’t one of them.

I decided today that Princeton, not Harvard or Yale is going to be my reach school.

I really have no shot though, not that I don’t have great stats, but there is absolutely nothing unique about me and I am probably one of the most boring applicants out there.

Man i’m getting kind of depressed that college admissions aren’t really as merit based as I previously thought, but I guess its my own fault for not really pursuing many extracurriculars seeing as I’m a lazy ****.

gotmilklol, there was only 3 schools in NJ that had that kind of numbers for Princeton admits this year, and I go to one of them, while another is in the neighboring town. To say the least, what Jersey12 said is completely true.

buddyD,

I strongly advise against selecting merely one “reach.” The fact that your admittance is unlikely is exactly why applying to more is helpful.

@buddyD:
I’m not that great of an applicant too. Compared to those prodigies, not really.
And there are 29,000 applicants out there, so chances are, there’ll be someone more boring than you. ;)

My school only allows 2 ECs each academic year, so you are at a better shape than I am. :)

buddyD. be optimistic.
stop whining.
Optimism is the key.
Best of luck to you.

You will rock.

Its never too late to do something meaningful.

I ditto alexcuad.

You are a junior … right? Do something this summer that will really dazzle adcoms. Whatever your specialty might be.

Am a hopeful as well. Not too excited about the grade deflation, though ):

why s should that give you the edge over someone with a stronger application?

wow new jersey…there’s the centre of learning and culture!

^ You alright there buddy?

I’m also comin’ to Princeton!
