Thankfully my interviewer contacted me today during noon and I had my interview just an hour ago! It went wonderfully, but unfortunately interviews don’t count for much. Now all that’s left to do is wait–regardless of what happens, I’m pretty excited to fill out my decisions post! I’ve been stalking those threads for three years now, and now it’s finally our time.

@SamusScipio Ahh, thanks!

So unbelievably scared now… Even though I thought I was going to be pretty apathetic after I submitted and convinced myself I’d be fine without Princeton. My numbers are just average; I can only hope my essays are enough to pull me in.

@ambitious19 so happy your interview ended up working out for you!! hopefully we’ll receive good decisions in th next couple weeks :)

@ambitious19 I also had my interview yesterday, but I’m bothered it won’t even reach on time to influence any decisions adcom may take. Was it even necessary? :-/

@LukeBK the deadline for interview reports is November 30th, so it’s not too late. interviews dont do much anyways except for confirm that you didn’t lie in your application about anything haha

Hi everyone! I really hope I’m not intruding into this conversation but since I’ve been following it for a while, I thought I’d join too. I’m an early applicant from Singapore. I had my interview around the 15th Nov. For those who are worrying about not getting interviews, it really was more of a chat about the university than it was a formal Q&A so don’t worry! I really don’t think it has any role in the admissions process. Good luck to everyone!!

I have a question about the advantage of applying early over regular though. Do you think that there is any? Princeton says on its website, ‘Those who apply early gain no strategic advantage; the only advantage is one of convenience.’ But to what extent do you think this is true?

@scarlett7 there is obviously a statistical advantage, but there is no competitive advantage to applying early… if that makes sense

Applying early has an advantage when the decision is binding. Definitely true for Duke, UPenn level colleges.

“there is obviously a statistical advantage, but there is no competitive advantage to applying early… if that makes sense”

@binatang - I’m not sure if I understand your point. Statistically applying early to Princeton gives very little (if any) advantage to the unhooked applicant. While the acceptance rate appears much higher than in the RD round, keep in mind that recruited athletes, legacies, and children of faculty will all have applied early, collectively skewing the numbers. This is why most people are deferred to the regular round.

I do wish each of you the best as decisions come out in a couple weeks, and again in the spring. It’s interesting how from year to year I find myself pulling for the people who post on these threads and empathizing with the interminable wait each of you are in. If you were as winsome in your essays as many of you are on these threads, it will be hard for any committee to say no to you =) Good luck!!

Didn’t get matched, but it’s okay, I’m now waiting for RD time. Good luck to you all in two weeks. Hope you rock it! :)

Must it be the 15th or could it possibly be the 12th for our decisions.

Judging by last year, it’s going to be the 15th unless they made a huge change this year.

Good luck in RD to those QuestBridge applicants who got deferred this round! (Haven’t seen any acceptance posts yet, but congrats to those who got accepted!)

Why is nobody posting in the results thread? Or did not that many people on CC apply through Quest Bridge? Either way, good luck to all like hopefulperson said and congrats to others!

Hope everyone got good news today! If not, there’s always RD. And I’m sure we’ll all have bright futures with or without Princeton.

I think more people are posting on the facebook page now

@emenya I’m so so sorry Don’t worry though! I’m sure you’ll do AMAZINGLY in the RD round.
