Dear [Redacted],
Thank you for your interest in Princeton University. Princeton is recognized worldwide for its outstanding faculty, its comprehensive academic program and its focus on undergraduates. Students from 50 states and more than 95 countries live in close-knit residential colleges that are the hubs for dining, educational, cultural and social activities. Nearly all students live on campus. The University’s generous, need-blind financial aid program replaces loans with grants, making it possible for most students to graduate without debt.

there’s the email … not sure when that person received it
I think it’s just a generic email. Maybe this person recently joined Princeton’s mailing list and they sent the email as a confirmation or propaganda. That’s my guess.
Agreed, it’s just a marketing email. Nothing to do with the admission process.
D had hers in late January as well.
Yes, back in January
ahh i’m here from the NYU thread after being waitlisted. fingers crossed for princeton, it’s coming up fast!!
Hi everyone! I had a question about the interview process. How much would a great interview influence your admission decision?
From what I’ve read, not much. The interviews are generally to answer the applicant’s questions and don’t carry a lot of weight in admissions decisions except in very extreme cases.
That’s unfortunate because the alumni that interviewed my daughter did not attend as an undergraduate so they were unable to answer many of the questions that she had. All in all, she said the interview went really well and enjoyed talking with the alumni about their time at Princeton.
Not much
Does anyone else’s financial aid portal says :
" FAFSA Status: We are currently experiencing a delay in updating the FAFSA status in our applicant portal. Please check back in early March. This delay will not impact your financial aid eligibility, and if you submitted the FAFSA after February 1st, there are no penalties for late application materials."
Yes, my DD portal has the same message. Just a few more days and the wait will be over! Good luck to everyone!
Hey everyone, any guesses on how the lack of an early admission round would affect this year’s regular decision process?
Only thing we know for sure is that Princeton will have the highest RD rate out of all the ivies
why
Probably since they didn’t accept anyone early (they didn’t have ED/EA/REA/…) so 100% of their class will be open now as opposed to other ivies only having a fraction of their class open.
