lol guys! it looks like pure ■■■■! Isn’t there anyone who would like to major in CS here? looks like princeton has set up the freshman page to have http 301 redirects to the first year page. That’s why, whenever anyone gets to freshman, they get to the first year. Since the portal link still points to freshman, it always redirects to first-year. If someone never notices that it redirects try decreasing your network bandwith or speed and must work.
does everybody see freshman when they first open the page though?
no but my financial aid dates are old. dont think that indicates acceptance
16% of seniors are CS majors. How did we get here? Wonder what the percentage is at Old Nassau? Back in my day, many piled into Chemical Engineering. For those attending as a finishing school for financiers, they just picked a humanity.
I see it.
i have the freshman too

is anyone able to sign up for the preview events? https://admitted.princeton.edu/. when i try, i get "Princeton Preview is offered to admitted applicants only. You may register for one day. "
me too. but what do you guys see when you guys click “commit to princeton”. i see a page that shows what applications i’ve started.
I got this too. Does anyone see anything different?
you will have access to the Princeton Preview page one day after decisions come out - you will be able to access it with your applicant log on info. The net ID for admitted students doesnt come until May (via email)
May I ask what other schools our applicants have applied to?
My daughter has answers from all of her schools except Princeton & Brown.
She has all acceptances except for Johns Hopkins & Boston College. Princeton & Brown (& BC & JHU) have always been reaches for her. But she had a great interview, the response to her thank you email from her interviewer was lovely (He said, “It was my pleasure [daughter’s name]! You are destined to make a great impact - hopefully at Princeton!”) and she felt a glimmer of hope.
With the declines from JHU and BC her glimmer has dimmed a bit… Thoughts?

We have lots of acceptances, but a rejection from USC, so we’re thinking we’re totally out for all of the others since they are all top 20. Princeton is my son’s number one. He was deferred from EA. It’s almost impossible to get into these schools, but you never know!
We are still waiting on 9 schools.
My daughter has acceptances from UCSD, UCSB, UCD, Penn State, University of Hawaii
Waitlisted UCLA, UChicago,
Rejected JHU, USC
Deferred REA Harvard
Waiting on NYU today, UCB and ivies.
Good luck to you!
Excited for Thursday at 7:01pm!! Congratulations on having a kiddo who is even shooting for an IVY! That says a lot about the work he’s put in thus far! Thanks for your response. BEST OF LUCK TO YOU AND YOUR KIDDO!
Thank you for your response. Do you have any hair or fingernails left? Your stress level must be astronomical. Congratulations on the acceptances your daughter has received thus far! She’s obviously put in a lot of work to be accepted or even waitlisted to the schools she’s applied to! I’m pulling for your kiddo for NYU and the rest! ALL GOOD THINGS TO YOU BOTH!
Did your daughter apply to every Ivy? It sounds like it if she is still waiting to hear from 9 schools.
