@linusben are you applying EA or RD? If you applied EA and still have yet to be contacted for an interview, it’s probably because of a lack of alum in your region.
@linusben I had my interview the saturday before Thanksgiving. I would suggest emailing the office of admissions to make sure an alum hasn’t been reaching out to you at perhaps an incorrect email or something. Not taking an interview when offered at a SCEA school reflects negatively on applications so just be wary and make sure you’ve done all you can. Best of luck

@gmanhax I totally feel you on the work- haha lol I’m checking this waaaay to often too. But how do you see if someone has viewed your arts sup? I submitted .wav files and a few docs, but can you only tell if you submitted a private YouTube link?
@linusben If you haven’t received an interview yet, it’s probably because there are no available alumni in your area, like the above posters said. I wouldn’t stress too much about it, as it’s an informal interview and just a chance to learn more about Princeton. Also, it’s not supposed to have a lot of impact on your admission decision. If it makes you feel any better, a person at my school who applied SCEA got an interview, and he isn’t the strongest student and even has an arrest record.

Looking for opinions-- I’ve taken the ACT twice and I have a 33, 34 superscore. If I want to retake it, I would have to register for standby for Saturday and miss my debate tournament, and it would cost me about $100. If I happen to get into Princeton that would be a huge waste of money for me, since my family has very very little money and I pay for everything myself. Is it worth it? I feel like my ACT wouldn’t be the single factor that made or broke my chances, but I’m not sure. Also, I mean for RD.

@MCurie Yeah, I’m only able to see it through Youtube’s analytics. In hindsight, I probably should’ve just uploaded the files directly. because being able to see when they view it has caused a ton of unnecessary stress 
Princeton emailed me weeks ago and said an interviewer would contact me… they even listed his name and said that he was supposed to email me but he never did. Do you think I should contact him directly?
Never mind, I just contacted him. Hopefully that wasn’t a dumb move.
@linusben The email I got from Princeton notifying me about my alumni interview included the interviewer’s email address. Mine reached out to me first, but if he hadn’t, I would’ve emailed him after a day or so. Maybe your interviewer was seeing if you would be proactive? I honestly don’t know.

Haven’t been contacted for an interview
In the Annapolis, MD area. Has anyone from around here had an interview? I can’t imagine there are no alumni here. Thinking my chances are way low now.
Relax. Interview does not have much bearing on the admissions process. Also, Princeton tries to interview EVERYONE. If you haven’t been contacted, it’s probably not because your application was weak but because there could be logistical shortcomings. Like others said, maybe the alumni emailed at a wrong email etc. Chill out!

New to this thread and only read through the last 5 pages because I don’t have the time to read more, so this may be an ignorant question, but has anyone heard more about EA decision date?
@lbw2168 Hey, I kinda live near you. Had a skype interview a week ago. he said there were too many applicants from MD to have in-person interviews for everyone. but here’s the thing, if you don’t get an interview, it doesn’t hurt your application at all!
