While I know most be colleges I mentioned are reaches, I was hoping for guidance on whether I was on the right path to ease my tension over this college process. Throughout high school I haven’t really done much with my life lol, especially in comparison w a lot of the kids here on CC. This leads me to another concern that, while I’ve only pursued activities that only interest me, I haven’t done anything extraordinary that would set me apart from the crowd. So from my current resume, does it seem like I’m heading the right path? Are any of the college I listed impossible reaches?

Are you from Michigan? What is your intended major?

From Michigan and I’m interested in either majoring in Math or Chemistry.

Go Blue - awesome school!

Michigan is a match. The other three are reaches. Pay careful attention to the culture/vibe at U of C, and think about your fit with that as you work I your essays.

Are you IB Diploma or Certificate, and what are your courses? How does your WEre late to your research?

Your math and research are impressive, and your academic credentials as la are solid, but your lack of outside passions will limit you.

What are your passions, and what do you want to do with your life?

I honestly think admission to those universities could hinge on how good your research is. While I think in every other respect (excluding academics) you are a fringe candidate for those schools, some really nice research could distinguish you in a crowded field. Since I don’t know the quality of your work, I would still say high reaches for the first three and high match for Michigan because you are in-state. But who knows.

UMich LSA would be a match to low match for you from in state if your 3.97 GPA is uw.

I agree with the previous responses to a degree. Your amount of research is very impressive as are all of your stats, but from my experience, especially with Columbia, colleges of that level like to see a guiding passion in their applicants. Nonetheless I believe you have a solid shot at getting into those schools
