Princeton ED Lounge

I am so excited for election day, even though I miss voting by two months - I can't wait to see what will happen.

I miss voting by 4 weeks grrrrrrrr..

I know, it's frustrating.

Though you're in a state where it actually matters right now...KY is pretty solid for Bush

Are you for Bush, Kebree?

New York is definitely solid for Kerry, but even though my vote won't count really, I'm voting anyway.

Yes, would vote Bush if I could...he seems to understand the problem of terrorism better and Kerry's health care plan has me worried (look at Canada)...plus Kerry (though is is cliche by now) is not consistent, so I have no idea what his actual positions are, or what he will actually do if elected to office...he's tried to run as a liberal/moderate, but his voting in congress has been anything but moderate--so I don't know if he's reinvented himself or if he is just trying to garner votes. Plus, the whole thing about Bush being less than intelligent bothers me. He does have trouble articulating his stances at times, but that doesn't mean he doesn't understand them. (Also: Kerry went to Yale with an 1190 SAT and had a C grade average; Bush went with a 1206 and held a B avg., then went to Harvard and got an MBA...how they can say Kerry is much more smart/intellectual is beyond me...I know SAT scores are not always accurate tests of intelligence, but the disparity certainly doesn't fall in Kerry's favor by a long shot.)

MI could go either way so I'd like to throw in a Bush vote, sigh... Although some of the latest polls show it going for Bush, margin of error could send it both ways.

and good pt about the intellectualism, Kebree, that really bothers me when people go off on Bush about that. It's like, Kerry's no better!

Oh, it's for Bush now? Yay, I thought they still had it in the leans-Kerry column...excellent!

AZ is like....80% bush i think the democratic party that was here abandoned AZ because we are way too republican. i think the only time AZ has ever voted dem is like FDR and Clinton's reelection. fun eh? cept im a democrat :( sucks to be here

Well, I've seen MI portrayed both ways, but we were discussing it in Gov this Friday and our teacher brought in a copy of a new poll showing it going for Bush. So I'm just hoping for the best...

Whoa. Lots of conservatives! I'm probably the person that swings farthest left here, considering that I come from SF, the liberal capital of the world. Haha, I'd argue against various statements/contentions you put forth in your post, Kebree, but I don't want a heated political debate to start in the ED lounge. Not to mention that it's the weekend and I feel too lazy to type up an intellectual post. ;)

It's kind of exciting for me to talk to conservatives. New York City is too liberal and everyone hates bush without even knowing anything. I'm glad I can still like republicans even though I've been so brainwashed at school =)

It's exciting to be liberal in the heart of Texas, where probably 80-90% of people are conservative. However, I love listening to rational liberal and conservative arguments. That's one of the things I can't wait to experience in college. Too many people around here believe in something a) because someone told them to believe it, or b) because they feel like they have to

Sadly your Kerry vote won't count either, just like mine won't. But I think Princeton has a good balance of liberal/conservative. That's good.

Oh, and is anyone excited that CC finally has the time right?

OH MAN
i jump up and down in excitement. AHHH!
