Princeton ED Lounge

astrix - nope. Well, not officially. i've searched their website and this I think the physical ad. is 110 West College.

Do you think this is ok for FedEx - i'm sooo scared it'll go to the wrong office ----> long story...

I'm sending the app to:
Undergraduate Admission Office
Princeton University
110 West College
Box 430
Princeton, New Jersey 08544-0430
USA

I would use the one listed on the app itself...

Kebree - so would I, but the problem is that if you're sending the app. by expedited mail, you need an exact physical address. FedEx doesn't deliver stuff to a Box number - they need a building number/street number and an office number - because they hand deliver it to the recipient - the person they hand the package to has to sign for it. See the dilemma I'm in? Oh, and nice slides by the way - great talent!

soooo....i got a confirmation saying all my recommendations and SAT scores and Transcripts are in....they are just waiting for my ACTUAL APPLICATION lol how sad :-X

are the secondary school report forms put in a sealed envelope and sent separate from the other forms or together with? and are the teacher and optional recs sent separately also?

ppangan are you applying ED?

they can be sent separately

i am applying ED, my apps are ready to go...im just unsure on those things...i have everything done, so can i just put everything into one envelope? and is the secondary school supposed to be sealed by the gc's?

ummm mine was. i think it should be but if he let you seal it then just seal it urself

I think those should be sent separately so that the they don't think you tampered with your recs or anything.

About sending stuff via FedEx, my counselor actually advised against that because it has more chances of getting lost (since it is separated from the other apps). You need someone to sign it, then they might misplace it, or they might not be there to sign it, etc. Better just to do it regular mail.

Shrek, what kind of confirmation did you get? A letter or something? Do you think they send you another one when everything's complete (I sent my app online, but I wonder if they'll tell me when they get all the transcript and rec stuff)

i have not yet sent it in but you should get an email confirmation and i dont think they send you a confirmation about the teach recommendations/whatever. they will only tell you later if you are missing anything...i think lol. or you can call them and ask if everything is in

here's how everything is being sent in w/me:

Secondary school report + 1 teacher reference = in one envelope

Another teacher reference being sent separately = in another envelope (teacher sends his separately...doesn't go through guidance)

Optional What Else? and Optional Reference = another envelope...

Online APP = me

i hope they get them all

mine::

Arts Form + portfolio CD + Optional Reference + money= envelope#2 | 2 weeks ago

school report + 2 teacher reference + transcript= in one envelope |last week

Online Financial Aid Forms |last week.

Online APP |today

too lazy to send references separately, so i sqeezed them all in one envelope. I don't think it was wise to put them all together though.....too late....
Dough!
no confirmation whatsoever. gonna call them tomr.

thanks for the advice zant - unfortunately, where i live, if i send the application by regular mail tomorrow, they'll receive it in time for Regular Decision. "Snail mail" is an understatement for our postage system...

doesn't it just have to be postmarked by nov 1? not necessarily AT princeton nov 1...

yea, just postmarked nov 1.

man, i can see the mad sprint to the post office now, because even though I THINK everything is sent i'm sure i'll figure out oct 31 that there's something essential i'm missing

wow, is it really that close to nov. 1? Crazy...

yess... totally

gianevive - I had the same thing as you, only I sent my mail by courier (needing signature) to the PO Box and only then realised the signatory problem. I called Princeton and they said it wasn't a problem because someone goes to the box to pick up stuff in batches... and my submission ended up getting signed for anyway.
Just to ease your mind, although I'm sure it'll get to them if you send it to the street address as well.

thanks lucky - that's comforting to know
