Princeton ED Lounge

If you send the online app they'll send you an email confirmation in a couple of minutes. For all apps, they send you a postcard when they start your file (and then another one saying when it's all completed or if you're missing stuff)

I sent my app in online two weeks ago and I got an email confirmation that day and a postcard this week.

they do. I received it an hour after sending the app

you received a postcard an hour after you sent your app!?!?? well, thanks for the info - it's always good 2 know

I got my postcard this week, too. It's still sitting on my nightstand. I look at it every night before I go to bed, heheh.

hmmm not a postcard I didn't even know there was one... just a confirmation. Well that might be the postcard you're talking about:
Dear randomgr,
Thank you for applying to Princeton University. We received your Undergraduate Admission Application via web application on [date]

Funny thing:
The next day after I sent the online app I received a letter from Princeton.
"Cool!" I joked to myself. "They were waiting outside my door to accept me!"
Of course, it was the application material I had asked a month ago... They literally SHIPped the thing...

No no, the postcard comes like two weeks after you send in your app. The email confirmation comes like an hour later.

Oh Philntex, I know...I cherish every piece of mail princeton sends me.

The postcard says this:
Application received
I want to acknowledge receipt of your application and to let you know that we have opened an application file for you.
We aren't able to individually acknowledge all of the other parts of your application as they arrive.
You will receive either a card confirming your file is completed, or a letter notifying you of missing parts of the application in time to get them to us for consideration.
Thanks for applying.

Peggy Neall
Assistant to the Dean

hmmm I was thinking of calling them to verify if they have received everything but it seems they'll tell me when they know

By the way, do we have names? Just out of curiosity...hehe, it's just getting weird typing out random names when I've been talking to some of you for several months now. I know some people prefer anonymity, but not I! I feel dirty doing it. Why? Scooby Doo voice I ron't row!

Anyways, I'm Philip. waves :)

I always read your handle as phlintex, and that's how you'll prolly continue to be in my mind

Now I see... Phil in Tex :)

Niiiiice, haha. I don't mind using people's handles, but it'd kind of be cool to know that people's parents didn't name them things like randomgr or EcomiumII.

But now that I think about it, that would be cool. puts names down on kids' names list

Haha, well, for the record, I'm Kathleen. Pleased to [in]formally meet you.

Hi, Kathleen. shakes hand jovially as speech communications teacher so energetically taught :)

Thinks I feel like I'm being introduced to the mayor or something:
"Very pleased to meet you, too, Phillip."

jk jk

lalalala (filling in characters)...lala

lalala (now waiting for the 60 secs to pass)...lalala,la,la

OK, so no coffee for me--I'm officially losing it.

HahahahahaHAHAHAHAHAHahahahaha. Yeah, me too. And I'm sick. As in dying. I wonder what incurable disease I have today. wipes nose

wow Philip - i thought i was the only one who had a prospective kids' names listlol!
Mine's Gianievve (French) - pretty unexciting huh? Well, Mademoiselle Kathleen, M'sieur Philip ~ enchante de faire votre connaissance! ;)

lol. u two r totally loosing it - wipes nose -->eeww! hmm...coffee might not be a good substance after all...

TU PARLES FRANSAIS AUSSI!!! Enchantae de faire ta connaissance aussi. And yeah, I am going crazy. VERY crazy right now.

And just what flew into that coffee when I sneezed? Ugh...

And I'm going to marry your name, okey doo? That seriously is a suh-weet name. Gianievve. So...French!

have any of you seen team america? i found it amusing.

Are you from France, gianievve? This may be stupid, but I thought you might have mentioned something about 'international' earlier...dunno

Nevermind...I think that was someone else, sorry :)
