Zanti - I know, I just read her name real fast the first time - Garlic forever!! Hey, I looked up Zantedeschia today, and found that it was, lol, my favorite flower - only I had always know them as Arum Lillies! Wow, that is soooo crazy!

Astrix - don't you dare cheat! I have my eye on you, and you'd better not try to pull a fast one on me. If you don't tell me when you get your confirmation, then I won't either - and you'll sit there never knowing where I'm from until you ask me next year.

Randomgr - this is probably soo banal but: what is Greece like? I absolutely loved your dissection of Garci's name. I'll bet she didn't know about that ...muscles and all - ewww. Hey maybe she's a pre-med major?

Nickname - Gia/Giani/Gianie derived from Gianievve, roots in French lingua

Pronounciation Dictionary: Jee - UN- ee - ev. I wonder how y'all've been saying it all along!? :p

Well, I will be back around 10 PM. I have a 2 hour and 50 minute Sociology of Human Reproduction mid-term tonight - so I will be ready to unwind and rant to you all.

Hmmm dictionary.com disagrees with me :P : gracilis: 'gras-&-l&s

Also: "Note the ae ending in animal and plant family names: Canidae, the dog family, is pronounced "canidee," not "caniday." Similarly - Camelidae, Salmonidae, Rosaceae, etc."

So I guess it's the family of muscles the nick name refers to, not a female =)

Alright folks - champagne glasses out for Round Two...... Applause goes to me for becoming a 'trois milles'!! That's 700 years closer to Granny Zanty! Whoo hoo - Officially a Senior Member! (and yes, crazy is a good adjective to describe me :))

Wow, you guys have been incredibly active today. Did you guys have Starbucks this morning like I did? Yeah, that was awesome. 'cept I only got a cinammon roll. But still, the fact that it was from Starbucks has made me hyper for most of today. Wheee!

ilcapo235, I would like to point out that I was not making fun of your RL attire, I believe that I made a positive comment on it. I never, never diss the RL, even if I don't immediately pinpoint it as such. laughs how did you come to know of grosse pointe? (the G.P. is what we call it around here) I've never been to NYC, is that where you live? I'm so jealous that you've been shopping (I assume from the picture) at Henri Bendel, I'm a Henri virgin, le sigh!

Gianievve, the "Wow Preps." comment killed me. Funnily enough, I love garlic, so the "GARLIC-ilisae" name works as well.

And speaking of names - this is the other name I've gone by online for years, it was crudely adapted from a book of Roman names I have, I used to be about 85 pounds and 5"3.5-4ish, so we had all these jokes about me being tiny and this was one of them. I know, let's dredge up the dorks argument, shall we?

GRACILIA f
Feminine form of the Roman family name Gracilis, which meant "slender, slight" in Latin

(although it's good to know that my name is also a muscle... and believe me, I'm staying as far away from pre-med as possible, whoever mentioned that)
