Haha, seriously...except that I know I'll be finishing up a ton of apps then, so no sheepy-pie for me :( But New Year's will be the best. It signifies the end of all things related to college applications. Woohoo!

Mmm holidays...I know what I'll be doing ;)

Enjoying the trees in Oregon, what were you thinking?

But anyway, re: the vodka reference...I don't think I will drink anything for a long long time... :(

thats what u think fan! ;)

lol, I don't know if I like this name dropping in the public thing...
kevie =)

oooh oops it was a typoe! that f and z are real close together! i meant...zan...+t :-D

Gotcha, zante. Subtle hint taken :)

phil, * their eyes were watching god * is pretty bad in my opinion. the literary devices are so blatant and overused. * one flew over the cuckoo's nest * is awesome though. ken kesey is the man.

Really? That's interesting. You bring the total now to two people out of about twenty I've spoken to who've read the book who didn't like it. I think I'll try it out just to see, though, hehe. Yeah, ...cuckoo's nest is awesome, I've heard. Can't wait to start it. Cry, the Beloved Country has been beautiful so far, though. I definitely suggest it to any anglophiles (language-specific).

i suggest * julian * by gore vidal...or * creation. *

I just had a major scare....I happened to be thumbing through my other apps tonight (for the first time) and noticed that my UVa art supplement is due on Dec. 1st (aka Wednesday)....I guess I had seen that Yale's was due the 31st (sames as the RD app itself) and assumed that UVa's was the same...wow, major rush here, haha...but I am just thankful that I happened to see that note. I don't know how I did...it was in miniscule print on the bottom of a random page out of 12 pages; I just happened to glance down and see it. Whew. That could have been bad.

oh yeah. I missed Stanford's. Totally didn't see that one coming. It's disheartening :( Good luck, though.

and bokonon, suggestion taken ;) thanks!

keb - since you did all the research....are there any other apps i should look out for with early art supplement due dates? im nervous now!! ahh

I didn't do research, haha...I just got lucky and happened to see it. I don't know about the others....I'm only planning on applying to a few besides Yale and UVa...

A girl at my school just got flat out rejected from UVa ED.

ouch....my cousin got in, though. Major party on Thanksgiving =)
...I hope I have a major party on Christmas....

Is it hard to get in to UVa? This girl is not what I'd call exceptional.

yeah.. its one of the best public schools in the country and extremely competitive out of state. A kid from my school got deferred ED there just yesterday.

ummm i dont think its TERRIBLY hard. for us anyways? wow that sounds arrogant. its like berkeley but berkeley u just need like a 1450+ to guarantee a spot there

Haha....Don't let California1600 see that post, shrek. He'll be after your blood. (Or he'll at least pound your inbox with cracked-up rankings, lol.)

hahahaha like the UC San Francisco is the number 9 university in the nation? hahahah its like saying Arizona State is the best university in the world
