Hey. So… I freaked out because the federal tax returns would not upload. It was only 5 pages and it STILL wouldn’t upload. My frustration got the better of me, so I emailed them my tax return… and then I realized I emailed the wrong one (without the email that they require for us to add on the pdf) so I had to reply back on the same conversation with the correct one… I also had to inform them on a different email conversation that I don’t have a W-2 because my family is self-employed… I think the FA is gonna think, “This girl is crazy for sending us four emails (2 conversations)” -sigh- Am I wrong to freak out over this, or are these just minor, over-exaggerating details?
I think you’re just overworrying (from one obsessive overworrier to another), and does it really matter what FA thinks anyway?? If anything, they might just appreciate your concern over making sure things are sorted and right.
Over reacting/over explaining applicants are a normal part of the admissions/FA offices daily life. You are not the first person to worry about a mistake regarding your application and probably not even the first person that day. I am certain Princeton takes it all in stride. Also, the financial aid and admissions offices run separately and FA is not going to somehow communicate any kind of warning to admissions. Try not to worry about it!
