Princeton in Asia / Princeton in Africa - anyone familiar?

Just wondering if anyone has students who have been involved in these internship programs? I am interested to know how well they are run and any experiences positive or negative.

Am also wondering how much contact / connection the PIA program has after the placement - actually during your year or two of work - is it mostly a placement thing? Or is there an ongoing dialogue between your work place and PIA?

Thanks!

My info may be out of date, but when I was teaching at Princeton back in the 1980s, quite a number of my students did Princeton in Asia–I don’t think they had an Africa program in those days. The kids I knew were mostly humanities majors and taught English in Korea, Japan, and China. It seemed to be a very well-run program and the kids got a lot out of it.

bumping because this seems like such an interesting program

Bump

Am really hoping to find the parent of a student who has been involved. Anyone out there?
