@smartergoat: the worst thing you can do IMO is to ignore it... It makes you look uninterested and irresponsible... I think you should accept it. I'm not very talkative and was dreading my interview, but it ended up going really well. Unless you come off as a total ******* I don't think it will really hurt you.

Well I think I'll ask the hours that the office is open for I only get a car at 7 pm and the drive would be atleast an hour. Would it be rude if I asked for a phone interview because of the transportation situation?

I think you should do anything you possibly can to get an in person interview. Maybe you can somehow arrange a way to get the car earlier that day, even if it means a parent catching a ride with a co-worker or taking a cab home. If that doesn't work out, then I'd let the interviewer know you considered the option, but it wasn't feasible. It is much easier to have a good conversation in person than on the phone. Don't be worried about being witty. Be polite, know why you want to go to Pton, and have some questions ready. I think ignoring the message is a very bad idea, and being willing to travel helps show interest. For one of his interviews my son had a seven hour round trip. Fortunately, the roads were good as we live in snow country.

^^Wow, i didn't know they really make some students travel that far!

I just got contacted today! Finally =]

Interview's at a Starbucks. Surprise, surprise, right?

yeah i kinda hate my life. of the seven kids who are applying to Pton from my school, im the only one who didn't get contacted for an interview.

Hey, maybe they don't need additional information from you like they did from them because you've presented yourself very completely? ;)
I don't think it's necessarily a bad sign!

Hi guys =),
I read some posts in this thread saying that the evaluations are due end of this month, but my interviewer said that we don't need to talk immediately.
I told her that I was busy on weekdays and that I prefer the interview to be on weekends. Her response was that she spoke with the admissions and that they've already taken care of things. So basically, instead of the interview (I don't know if she meant we'll have the interview later or won't have it at all), we'll chat with each other at some point and ask questions to each other.

I was assuming, from her somewhat vague letter, that we have plenty of time for the interview...But when I read this thread, it seems like there is a deadline for the evaluations that interviewers have to turn in...Maybe, we're not having the interview because it's a phone interview, and it's hard to set a time because of the time difference...Oh well, I hope this won't be a disadvantage for me...

I haven't been contacted yet, so I'm definitely getting a little wary. I really want to interview too because it's a strong point for me. Should I call the admin office to ask or should I just wait? I would even be willing to drive up to Princeton to have an on campus interview if needed.

I want an interview too, what should we do!

Tomorrow I have my interview, and I'm soooooooo excited! Imagine how amazing it must be to talk to someone who has actually graduated from Princeton! Wish me luck..

Just had my interview today. Really laid back, got along great with the interviewer, but was a little turned off by how she didn't really try to hide that the social life at the eating clubs revolves around alcohol- and she was social chair of her eating club, so I would tend to believe her statements. I'm sure it'll be a good mark on my application, but I think it put a black mark next to Princeton in my book, especially considering I had just expressed concern regarding alcohol a minute prior.

Today, I could finally schedule my interview. Phew! If I hadn't received an email, I would have emailed the coordinator now instead of writing here. So, for those of you who did not receive anything yet, contact them. What do you have to lose?

A friend of mine had an interview 2 days before and she said that the guy, a Princeton graduate alumnus, was a bigger fan of MIT.

angelutza, you are from romania! i am from romania too, it's nice to see so many romanians applying for the us!

Yes, nice to meet you! Join us on the Romanian thread.

@ lover789 - Princeton doesnt offer on campus interviews

I had mine on Wednesday. It was pretty good. We didn't have much in common, so the conversation did seem a little strained. But at the end, he at least said, "I hope you get in!" So, it could have gone worse =]

Whew! So someone contacted me the other day and my interview will be next week. I called the admin office to ask, and they had said that if you didn't hear anything by the 20th to call them.

My interviewer emailed me yesterday for an interview today...but I didn't come home until late, so I read it today. Anyways, we can reschedule..I looked him up. Really cool!
