Princeton interview

Does Princeton conduct interviews for all its applicants or only those they wish to interview?
I got an email informing me of an interview and I hadn't requested one, so i was just wondering if this is a good or bad thing or whether it doesnt sway either way.

Princeton doesn't let applicants request interviews; they're automatically granted to each applicant, provided there is an alum who lives near enough to the applicant who has the time/is willing to conduct the interview.

In other words, it doesn't sway either way.

i was assigned a phone interview though

yeah... i had mine today was alright... guy was pretty nice and it was a lot more casual than people think. btw when are the decisions normally coming out?

i think the decisions are communicated somewhere around the beginning of april for regular decision

April 1st. ;-)

my interviewer told me that princeton tries to give every single applicant an interview so it doesnt really mean anything. its basically to make sure that you didnt lie in your application (about your age and that) and to make sure that you are fluent in english.
