On my Yale app for one thing I couldn’t live without, I said waffles
I submitted my application late last night/early this morning depending on time zone. And now we all wait.
Is anyone else having trouble creating an account on the Princeton Application tracker website? For some reason it’s saying my pin and email don’t match my application. I’m staring at them right now and they do. Perhaps I’m just trying too soon?
Anyway good luck to you all!
@Honeyraven The PIN will take a day or two to work. They should have a better error message. Congrats and relax!
Okay, thanks @psywar. I figured I was being a little over eager! I just wanted to check and make sure they got my letters of rec (both my recommenders went for the snail mail option), so I’ll feel better once I know they received them.
Oh, and happy New Year, everyone!
Happy 2016!!!
This is it guys, 2016 is the year we start college! That’s mind blowing to me
I’m totally pushing this to the last minute, but it’s due TOMORROW (Friday, January 1, 2016) by 11:59 p.m., correct? Just want to be absolutely sure that I have more editing time tomorrow morning!
Yes
Was Princeton supposed to email me after my app? I applied last night and haven’t gotten one yet.
I applied two days ago and got a confirmation email at 12 AM today. I think it takes 1 to 2 days for them to email you.
I did end up getting an e-mail. Thanks!
Any Cornell ED rejects here?
Also, I got my portal email very early on 1/1. That’s so cute of them to welcome me into the new year like that
This is going to sound ridiculous, but I was scrolling through the SCEA results and everyone accepted seemed to have test scores of 2350+…
I’m starting to worry about my 2300 superscore. When I first found out my score it was a dream come true, but now I feel like it might not be good enough
@anon9362 Son was accepted @ 2310, but also reported a 36 ACT.
FWIW - The 2300 show the adcoms that you can handle the work, so don’t stress!
Hey guys, how do we send an update in the application to Princeton?
LOLOL at my life. found a grammar mistake in my essay on the summer, instead of the past tense ‘led’ i used ‘lead’.
it was nice knowing you all. won’t see you at princeton hahaha
@hsalem32 A grammar mistake isn’t going to kill your application. Don’t worry about it!
@hsalem32 On one of my Columbia supplements, I started a sentence, stopped mid-word, forgot about it and then started the next sentence.
Also I’m afraid that Princeton might think I didn’t take my application seriously, because on the “favorites” section of the application I goofed off a little bit and put some sorta silly stuff, as well as a quote from Napoleon Dynamite as my favorite movie quote (Tina you fat lard come get some dinner). But hey they asked for my favorites so that’s what I gave them lol. My supplements were really good so I’m hoping for the best
Be calm @hsalem32 I can’t imagine that will make or break your application.
It’s funny though, I tend to confuse those two as well. I think it’s because the word ‘read’ (which can be either present or past tense) looks similar that I tend to make the mistake and think that ‘lead’ works the same way. I had the same typo in one of my essays, but I managed to catch it on the twelfth or so read through because I’m a bit neurotic about proofreading. And that was blind luck, because by that point, the English language was starting to look like gibberish to me
Hey
I’m applying RD and got an interview request.
