I've been taking practice test out of the college board official book and have scored 2180, 2180, 2170, & 2260 on my last four practice tests.

however, i just got my diagnostic back from PR and got a 2070. what gives?

btw, i have heard that:
-PR makes their practice a little harder to make sure you score better on the real thing

any truth to this?

btw i did have to take it for 4 hrs after school, but a 100 pt diff?

anyone that has actually taken sat's have stories of:
-scoring much better on the real thing than on PR diagnostic
OR
-scoring much worse on the real thing than CB practice tests?

test is in less than 2 wks! yikes!

Hey I'm in the same situation pretty much. On the CB official book I usually get like 770 on the CR and like 670 on the math, but then on PR diagnostics, it goes down to like 690, and 600 respectively. At least for the CR, I think that PR has some passages with ambiguous questions, and I would tihnk that CB would make sure to avoid that on the actual test so I'm not too worried. I mean some of the passages on those PR diagnostics were so verbose and made no sense. And I've been taking PR for math and i dont feel like it has helped me AT ALL, I feel like theyve just been dictating common sense to me. Like don't be JOE BLOGGS (anyone from PR know shwat I'm talking about), if you can elminate 4 answer choices, then the last one has to be the correct answer.

i took princeton review as a sophomore, and never got above a 1300 on ANY of their practice tests. which is just stupid, because I got a 1380 as an 8th grader.

I ended up getting a 1550 on the real thing. So take whatever scores you get in PR with a grain of salt.

well i think the scoring rubric in the princeton review book is outdated. because i'm taking the course.. and they just changed the score conversions because college board came out with their official conversion guide. like my diag tests went down like 90 points. so that probably explains the differences between your scores in the book and your diag test scores

smile i got my official scores as well but they were "exactly" the same not even off by 10.......i hope you are right ellefunt!!

my verbal scores fell by 100 points ever since I started PR. -_-|||

the pr review curves are much lower than the real tests so if ur scared that ur scoring too low on pr, its just a safety net.

thats awesome

lol fatcookie me too both my scores dropped from 600s to 500s lol
