<p>thats strange, one of the primary reasons im a freshman at nyu right now is because they gave me better aid than other schools that claim to fill 100% of students need.</p>

<p>yea....i thought they were just randomly throwing ranks under NYU's name...kinda like a joke-list. that's a lot more clear.</p>

<p>& NYU filled my aid 100%...it was just mostly loans :)</p>

<p>I think that the thing is that ppl get upset w/ financial aid when they get into nyu but it was a reach school for them so the other schools that they get into don't cost as much to begin with. For me, Cornell gave me 14,000 per year less than NYU did in scholarships and NYU gave me loan offers for the remaining amount while Cornell expected me to pay 13,000 per year in cash. If you are good enough to get into an Ivy or another school with solely need-based aid, then you should be good enough to get substantial scholarships from NYU. Just thought I would throw this one out there.</p>
