I sent an email yesterday to Princeton UA about a project I started tht correlated to the essay I wrote about a trip to El Salvador. I did not get any reply or even a confirmation email… Bad news?
Does anyone know if not submitting financial aid forms by the admissions decision date will adversely affect my admissions chances? Are the due dates strict?
financial aid and admissions are handled separately! don’t worry @sprinkles11
@sugar98 one of their checklist/pdf thingies with the plain old admissions stuff said the 15th, but the equivalent on the financial aid page said the 1st! I ran into the same problem, so it wasn’t just you who thought they saw it! (Sorry for the late response, but I didn’t see anyone who had said the same thing yet!)
Most Ivy Admission Twitter accounts have announced their release days- including Stanford and UChicago. I checked the Princeton Admission account, but they haven’t Tweeted any information yet. I’m hoping they’ll send a confirmation Tweet or something soon.
@Mel1997 I don’t think it’s bad news – they are just too busy right now - bad time to be supplementing your application, when they have already reviewed everything.
IMO, this is just not a great time to be bothering admissions with anything. They must be incredibly super busy.
Is not getting a confirmation email about the tax email bad news?
So when are decisions released?
No, every school I’ve applied to that has requested additional information hasn’t responded once I supply it. They’re just too busy.
On a different note, I feel like Princeton will release decisions on the 18th, now that UChicago has decided to release them then and it seems like they are behind. :-<
A wave of doubt came over me, I feel like I have no hope of acceptance.
thank you! @debate4ever
I honestly just want to get a decision (don’t even care what it is at this point). I just want the college decision time of my life to begin!!! and of course getting in wouldn’t hurt, but won’t even be that heartbroken if I don’t.
Hey there! Just dropping by from the Penn ED discussion thread to wish you guys luck for d-day!! I hope you all get into amazing colleges and have the best four years of your life no matter where you end up at. Our ED/SCEA school is obviously our dream school, but it is not the only good school out there. Each year, colleges admit that they make mistakes during the admissions process. It’s not you, it’s them. You have all worked very hard to get to where you are right now, so don’t let a few words bring you down. You are more than your application and it’s a shame that some colleges may not see beyond your papers, but it’s their loss. Be confident and know that you are going to be amazing no matter where you go for college
Thank you! I’m glad I wasn’t the only one!
Even though I already sent my financial aid documents, I still appreciate your response
Best of luck @sbean98
Hello everyone!
I first received an email from FA office that they haven’t received my PFAA. I then sent it and received a reply on the same email convo that they have now received it. This was before anyone received it. (24th Nov)
I then received another email from FA office saying that I should send them a Non-Filer Statement for my mom (she is unemployed). I received this mail on 3rd December. (I had already submitted my dad’s tax returns, who is employed)
I then received an email from FA office AGAIN that they haven’t received my PFAA yet and asked me to submit it. I emailed them the pdf of it and told them that I have already submitted it. They then sent me a confirmation again. (8th December)
What do you guys think? Why are they mailing me again and again?
I dunno, but a friend of mine noticed that he was rejected by Princeton. So decisions may be released soon !!!
Was his decision through QB? @maiphuong
@APrincetonian Nah, we’re Vietnamese.
@maiphuong @APrincetonian - Can you please verify how, when, and the exact wording of the “rejection”? This may not be a genuine result.
ETA: unless Questbridge (which is not based on race but on income)
I think, YOU ARE IN!!!
