Deferred as well. Any idea what percentage of students have been deferred? Acceptance rate is 18.3% according to their site, a 1% increase since last year.

Deferred 10char

“3,042 students were deferred to the regular decision pool for re-evaluation, 12 students withdrew their applications and 49 were denied admission.” So 79% deferred. LOL

Did you get an email?

49 were denied admission like, seriously? Why didn’t they just defer everyone then? I don’t think I stand a chance in RD now. Ah well, there goes my winter break.

Sorry to ask this again, but I was just really curious… What messages did y’all get saying you were deferred?

Can I just add how disturbing it is that not a single CC user has posted about being accepted yet?

-a UChicago EAer

^ Well a guy and a girl from my school just got in according to Facebook. I don’t know about the 4 or 5 others who applied, but my guess is that if they did get in, I would have seen a lot of congratulations on their timelines.

^^ there’s three out of twelve posts on the results thread that are acceptances.

I’m in! I’m about to post in the chance thread. Sorry for all of you deferred-- that really sucks, but the girl I stayed with when I visited Princeton AND her roommate had been deferred as well, so there’s still hope!

I got in!
Good luck to all of you that are deferred… I’m sure you guys will find your perfect fits in the Regular Decision round if not with Princeton!

@NewYorkerGuy

Where did you get that quote from? That’s ridiculous.

@yarbroughjd14

I would tell you but I can’t seem to access my decision anymore.

Deferred. It is too bad, but life goes on. Good job to the people who were accepted! As to the deferrals, this stinks but we will move on. It is far from the end of the road. My question now is,why only reject 49 people

I’m a US citizen living in Taiwan. My page still says “The Princeton Admission Office has received your application. The checklist information is currently not available. We notified you via the email address you listed on the Common Application if your application is complete. Early action decisions will be available on Dec. 16 at 3 p.m. EST.” Anyone else get that? Is that bad news?

Try clicking directly on the link they sent you in the email. I got the same message when I tried to look at my decision a second time.

yeah its notify.princeton.edu

newyorker-congratulations! Would you mind sharing your GPA and SAT scores just so that I know what you need to be accepted?

@Baama, check the SCEA results thread.
By the way, an applicant who scored 2400 and 800’s on four subject tests with a 4.0 UW GPA got deferred.

Does anyone know about what percentage of people get in RD that got deferred EA?
