Princeton University Class of 2016 SCEA Thread

hahaha i realized that i’m going to be at work too…it’ll be awkward if i get a rejection infront of my boss lol. but i have zero patience so i’m checking anyway :P

By this time, they must have already decided who to admit, reject, and defer, right? So…that means our “fate” has pretty much be determined already…it’s sitting somewhere in that office.

To satisfy my wishful thinking, is there a way to call them and find out of you got in? :D

@henryyilupe, does the Princeton Application Tracker still say Dec 15 4 pm? I dont see Dec 15 4 pm…

Yeah, I don’t see it either. Also, is anyone else on this thread applying from Canada or am I the only one?

Admission Decision
Applicants will be able to view their decisions beginning at 4 p.m. EST on Thursday, Dec. 15.
To view your decision, you must first register with Princeton’s Application Tracking System. If you have not already done so, please register now with Princeton’s Application Tracking System.

That’s what I see.

Go to notify.princeton.edu and it should say December 15th 4PM. :)

This is so lame. Harvard’s SCEA thread is 5x the size of ours! Let’s get a move on, people ;)

^You really need to post away! I use this thread for extra reference when Harvard’s isn’t being updated! Princeton RD!

@graceee

That’s good…it means there’s less competition… >.><.<

Yeah Princeton had 1,000 fewer applicants so we have an excuse :)

what are you people’s intended majors?
also, am i the only person who has been procrastinating all other applications because of the unrealistic hope that i’ll get in to princeton on thursday? haha i should really start some other essays…

my school actually has set deadlines for college apps so I HAD to do all of mine before December 1st. It’s annoying though because if I DO get into Princeton then I will definitely go, and then I would have wasted around $500+ on pointless apps.

and my intended major is probably German!

If I get in, I’ll definitely major in the Woodrow Wilson School.

Im sorta on the same boat as you collegezomg, but I did make some progress yesterday (and hopefully will continue through today! Though, whenever I try to go to commonapp I wind up here). If I am accepted I won’t need to apply to other schools, but if I am deferred or rejected I may be too depressed to work on applications for a few fays.

I will major in one of the engineering fields.

Does anyone know if results are only posted on the Princeton website or if they send out an email too?

do you guys think that the admissions committee is still making their final decisions or do you think that they are done but now its just the logistical work (getting letters prepared, getting the website prepared, etc.) that they are doing?

@sunshine4

I’d think that by this point most of the admits will have been decided. They might still be arguing over a couple between Admit/Defer or Defer/Reject but apart from that it’s probably all done. Oh and maybe they’re just waiting on the Financial Aid Office to sort through the last of the Aid offers, cos those come out at the same time.

I’m sure most of the decisions are made by now, but I hope they are still evaluating some of them as I wrote the ACT in October as a standby and just received my scores a few days ago and they would really help my application. (35)

haha i’ll bet its the financial aid part…i know friends who didn’t realize the deadlines were so early and just sent em in a few days ago-haha i’m sure they aren’t the only ones who made that mistake.
idkk what my major would be, probs psychology or biology with a conc. in creative writing

Just FYI, in years past, the Princeton SCEA thread kicked butt. Only saying…
