VT BABY!!! haven’t seen it on the forum yet so I’m hoping…

I ski there sometimes, anywhere near stowe? Please tell me your a hockey player and that I’m not the only one on this forum?

nah bro. tennis. can’t skate for *****. I have skied at Stowe though. Where u from? (my 1st guess is canada)

recruited athlete or no? yeah, I mean this is the Princeton thread so I’m not surprised you figured that one out haha. Only kid from my school applying… but I know I just get read with all applicants from New England and Michigan so am not actually considered an international student. Don’t even know what New England consists of, America is way too confusing.

@canada89
I’m sorry if I gave the impression of being “cocky,” I didn’t intend to do that. Also, I never said I was entitled to a spot at Princeton. If you read my earlier posts, which you seem to enjoy doing since you literally stalked my ACT score (which… isn’t really that weak… it’s more average for Princeton? I’d say it’s more arrogant of you to say my ACT score is weak than any of the stuff I’ve said), you’d see that I said I never considered myself to be entitled for Princeton. And yeah I think you’d be pretty upset if you’ve wanted to go to Princeton since you were 4 and were not accepted, regardless of the reasons why. There’s some basic levels of disappointment in not getting into any college, so I don’t see why it’s wrong of me to say I’ll be upset if I don’t get in?

“he’s just pointing out the correlation between his summer program and the attendees’ attended colleges, not saying that they get in because of it.”

Exactly. I think you’re misinterpreting what I’m saying. It’ll just be even more crushing of a rejection/deferral knowing that a lot of my close friends will most likely be getting accepted (as we’ve talked a lot about potentially going to college together) than it is “Oh I went to this program I DESERVE a spot in the Class of 2016.” Which I don’t believe. At all.

Trolls will be trolls.

@california1994 and pleaseprinceton

Shanx. :)

^Bro u couldn’t spell Princeton when you were 4. Lets not get dramatic. My boy canada89 and I are just poking some fun, throwing a log on the fire. But lets be honest, you DO talk too much.

I grew up in NJ, so don’t tell me how I live my life. And yeah I understand you’re poking fun, but honestly I talk a lot because I’m stressed out as we all are. Isn’t the point of this thread to commiserate with one another, as fellow applicants (and hopefully eventual students) of Princeton’s Class of 2016? I can stop talking if it truly inconveniences you.

Ok. I get what your saying, I’d be pretty ****ed off also but I’m not expecting anything since it is Princeton after all. I guess I misinterpreted you, I’ll apologize for that. Just am not a fan of kids who just do a lot of bland, 'prestigious" summer programs and sacrifice their summers to sit around learning just to get into University, but hey, to each his own.

^^HA. Go get a stress ball or a therapist, don’t vent to me. I gotta go to bed, but keep up the smack talk everybody, it passes the time. And honestly, its pretty fun.

I mean if you didn’t use the word commiserate that would help… I don’t think we’re exactly expressing sympathy for each other. (When you write from a thesaurus make sure to use the word right) Again, even with that, I’m just joking around I have nothing against you and my way of dealing with stress is joking around. Talk as much as you want we all can talk. Hope you aren’t offended.

It was actually the best summer program of my life and I met some of the most awesome individuals at the camp… it was as social and fun an experience as it was academic, and I certainly gained more out of it from the people and my time spent with them than anything else. I didn’t just do it for college. It’s not like I was forced to go, lol.

decillion is totally justified in being angsty/upset if he didn’t get in. I’d be equally crushed, especially since I know multiple people from my school will get in.

Me too… sorry. Still, best of luck to you!

In that case, I’m happy for you. That sounds great. No hard feelings about any of this, you don’t know me, but if we hopefully both get in and you do, you’ll realize that about 95% of things I say that are not nice are a joke. Was totally kidding its just my way of dealing with stress. And I also find it entertaining. Since you seem to know alot about Princeton, how many kids do you think will get in on thursday?

So… not that the amount of posts that decillion makes isn’t FASCINATING but does anyone want to talk about that thing that’s happening on Thursday?

Wasn’t a vague insult of word choice. And Fleurs, I attribute my over-niceness to two things: 1) My nationality and 2) My fear that admissions officers read this and match up your name, and stats profiles to applications from their region. Don’t wanna risk that. I care more about getting in than what some plug thinks about how I take back insults,

I really hope that at least 750+ get in! But since Princeton’s class sizes are slightly smaller, I’m kinda worried they’ll only take around 650-700

@zanmilasante No. I’m tired of 28 pages of overstressed people whining about if they’ll get in or not and how upset they’ll be if they don’t. Yeah, we’ll all be upset, that’s a given. Much more fun to really see how people react to pressure by making fun of them.

Decillion… even if it’s 650, then the acceptance rate will be over 18%, don’t stress.

I’m still trying to catch decillion on the post count anyways, might start a thread asking who would be upset if the world came to an end in 2012, would get the exact same answers as everyone here about how they would feel if they didn’t get in- Clearly nobody would be happy.

I don’t know why there’s so much trash talk going on… maybe we’re just stressed about decisions? Idk, not to sound self-righteous, but I don’t think Princeton’s admissions officers would be too pleased about candidates who started such a polemic over such a petty issue. College Confidential is, first and foremost, a source of information, but secondly, it is a place for students to support each other. There’s no reason to fuss about someone’s “arrogance.” Let’s keep this thread positive; God knows we don’t need any more negative pressure!
