Ehh my interview was okay. I felt pretty confident going in… maybe was a little too natural and talked a little too much ? I had prepared a few questions and points to make, but really was ready to just go in and have a conversation. Unfortunately, my interviewer kinda wanted a more regimented talk; I could tell he was worried about time because he had arrived late. Sensing this, I tried fitting my points in, but I might have jammed them in too indiscriminately. I also didn’t get to mention my interest in the Integrated Science Curriculum, because he just kept pushing along after I mentioned how I liked their undergraduate focus, in response to the “Why Princeton” question. All in all, a 6-7 out of 10 interview. Probably wont hurt me. Definitely won’t help me. I thought I dressed pretty well though ;)

@atypical23, I’m pretty sure they come out on December 15th… at least, this was definitely true for Stanford last year, and I’m pretty certain it was for Yale. If not, it was within a range of a few days on either side. If it’s not on a specific day, will there be a specific time? Again, Stanford does it in a very strict fashion: Dec 15th at 3pm Pacific Time. Any info would be nice.

greetings from the Dartmouth ED thread! Hope all is well for all you Princeton SCEA’ers.

Thank you tylrrvera! Same to you!

All,

Have all portions of your application been downloaded?

Yes, everything has been downloaded including quarter grades.

Hmm, I think my son’s supplement hasn’t been downloaded, though they’ve emailed him and said his application is complete.

Hi! The supplement and payments will show up as “complete” on the common app. The other components show up as “downloaded.” As long as Princeton says the app is complete then you’re fine.

My supplement doesn’t show as downloaded, but I assume it has been, since I was able to register on the application tracker (with the PIN from my supplement).

The supplement will not show up as downloaded. It is a glich on the common app. I believe it gets downloaded as an attachment to the application and therefore is not downloaded seperately. Everything else (except payment) will show up as “downloaded” with the date.

Hi. Two things:
1: How much do the interviews really matter? Like if mine went exceptionally well and was told “Princeton would be making a mistake” if they didn’t take me, would an interview of that calibre have any positive influence on my application or not really?
2: Also, what exact day do we find out about our admissions decisions? The Princeton website said mid- december but that seemed fairly ambiguous. Does anybody know of a concrete date?

1: My interviewer told me exactly the same, so I have no clue if a comment like this is much of a change maker. Actually, now I’m starting to suspect that maybe Princeton tells every interviewer to say this if the interview went fairly well.

2: College board says that December 16 is the deadline for Princeton to let applicants know about SCEA admission decisions.

Good luck! :)

Thanks, you too! When you say December 16th is a deadline, does that mean we can find out before, or will we most likely all find out that day.
This is no fun I was so happy with my interview but now I feel that everybody on this thread is going to post with similar stories about overenthusiastic interviewers.

I hope we don’t find out on the 16th that would suck.

will they email us when we can view our admissions decision?

I have no clue if that means they will notify us before December 16th, but I sure hope they do!
I read somewhere that they do e-mail us to notify us to check our application tracker, because the admission decision will be on there, but I don’t know if this is 100 percent certain. I wonder how they did it last year.
I know! I thought mine went extremely well until I saw everybody else’s posts and I realized mine wasn’t so special.

The past few years with just Regular Decision – the notification was at 5 pm Eastern Time on a specific date set by all the Ivies. I don’t know if there will be a similar Early Action common date/time. Harvard says they will release decisions “by Dec 15.” I assume Princeton will do the same. I would expect Princeton to send an email to applicants in the next couple of weeks with a specific time and date for decisions.

Previous years you just logged on to your Princeton account and got your admissions decision. Harvard sends theirs out via email.

Thank you princeton13mom! Penn announced today that they will be releasing their decisions on December 9th. I’m hoping this means that Princeton will announce the date very soon!

If previous ED timetables are of any guide, you should receive an email on the 15th of December (they should post it via mail as well on that day).

Regarding interviews- honestly I don’t think they have that much of an impact on admissions unless you have a really bad interview which may prompt admissions to reconsider your application. Like with SATs, a great interview won’t guarantee admission yet a bad one may doom any chance you had.

I still remember clearly the anticipation and excitement of opening my Princeton acceptance letter. Good luck everyone.
