Don’t know whether or not I should check in class…
PRESS RELEASE: https://www.princeton.edu/news/2017/12/13/princeton-offers-early-action-admission-799-students-class-2022
Princeton accepted 799 students out of 5,402 applicants in the early round this year, equaling a 14.7% acceptance rate. This is a decrease from last year’s rate of 15.4%. Last year, Princeton accepted 770 students from 5,003 applicants. Thus, the applicant pool increased by roughly 8%.
“14.7%”
I’m an international student, so now I think I’m doomed
@operasingerjv why in quotes? And the actual amount is 14.79%, so with rounding it is 14.8%. Even though that change is small, the extra tenth of a percent is equivalent to 5 extra people!
Power move: checking your result during class on the projector. Thoughts?
If it’s anything, more countries are represented now than last year, and the percentage of international students stayed the same. @smmonsa
@mediokra I’m commenting on how sadly small it is lol
21% for engineering. ouch
it’s about 30 more students than last year though!
@orgooo right but out of 400 more applicants
Why is this thread a lot less active than other EA threads? :-?
14.7% love the decreasing chances each year
@operasingerjv oh, lol true.
@clessley123 like the others, how did you see your decision already?
Yeah mine is not up yet
Almost 1 hour left… :((
I keep refreshing to see new posts in class, but it seems we’re a quiet bunch
@roboticsismylife LOL I know. Harvard’s thread yesterday was more chatty.
hahaha same @roboticsismylife
