My D was deferred?
Accepted!! I am still in shock! Good luck to other candidates! Don’t forget that you guys are amazing human beings regardless. More than a college decision, more than stats.
Deferred Maybe this is a sign that Princeton isn’t for me, though. There are plenty of other amazing schools that I would love to go to, and the prospect of spending my future at one of those schools is extremely exciting.
@refn100 Yo from one XC captain to another congrats! I was also accepted. Are you considering trying to walk on the team? Their team is outstanding but their walk on times seem attainable for track season
accepted! so excited to be a part of this community
My son just told me he got accepted.
SAT: 1600; ACT: 36
Math/Biology/Physics: 800/800/800
15 AP
GPA: 4/4(UW), 4.72/4(weighted)
I also got deferred!! @SSINFO your son has amazing stats. Congratulations to him
@collegebl123 yeah sure we all get the deferral letters
@reyelle I somehow agree I got deferred with a 1310 but I believe my essay were great
You still have a good chance at RD. As others said, Princeton’s early applicant pool is one of the strongest by far.
@SSINFO well thanks for the words feeling hopeful now
Now that I’ve calmed down, I’d like to wish all the deferred and rejected applicants the best of luck. I applied to a lot of top colleges in 2016 and was rejected by virtually all of them. The ‘you are more than your college acceptance/rejection, and this decision does not define you’ rhetoric is so so true. Don’t doubt it for one second. You are all deserving of incredibly wonderful opportunities and they will come your way in due time. Don’t let this decision change your perception of yourself negatively AT ALL.
To my fellow tigers congratulations omg
@3billyjoetsgruf I’m not really thinking of walking on. My PRs are 16:57 5k and 4:44 1600, so not really Princeton level. i’ll definitely try to join a running club or something tho to keep in shape and let loose with running
ah I got deferred…feeling a bit dejected… but i guess tis not the end of the world…and maybe i still have a chance of getting in? who knows?
@jordanheston Congrats! But how did you apply that? Any eligibility requirements?
@kli586 Questbridge has an entirely different application process that starts in September. It is mainly aimed at low-income students to connect them with scholarships at top universities. Here’s more:

Have any of you guys noticed that the Princeton graded paper requirements have changed. Before it was 5 pages or 1000 words but now it says 1-2 pages. What will this mean for us who sent a paper that is within the range of the previous requirement?
@collegebl123 I noticed this as well… I hope it didn’t negatively affect my application.
@xmas19 do you mind me asking, were you differed too?
@collegebl123 Yes, I was. The graded essay that I submitted was about why people believe in religion, which I hope didn’t upset anyone reading it. It was very well written and the best academic writing piece that I’ve completed.
