For details such as “Your favorite movie” or “Your favorite website”, should one include explanations in addition to their answers?

Explanations are not expected; these are intended to be simple answers.
They are not specific in the instructions, so I feel it is open to interpretation. My S did a combination. Some he expanded on quite a bit, some just a few extra words, and some not at all. All I can say is it didn’t keep him out. The questions are an effort to gain some insight in to the person you are, so you do you!
