<p>Should I bring a printer to keep in my dorm room or is that unnecessary?</p>
<p>Ds doesn’t have and hasn’t complained.</p>
<p>I also don’t have a desktop printer and it hasn’t been an issue.</p>
<p>I have one and it’s nice to be able to print off drafts and papers quickly. That being said, I use the free campus printers when I have to print out articles to read for class–50 pages on a personal printer ain’t pretty.</p>
<p>Even if you do want one, there’s probably no need for two in a room. So, you might want to wait and talk to your roommate after dorms are assigned.</p>
<p>Two kids at Carleton. One has a printer, the other one doesn’t, by their own choices. Haven’t heard it as a topic of concern from either.</p>
<p>My roomie and I really like having ours - we use it when it’s cold out and we maybe have to print a paper or short assignment late at night for an early class. There’s free campus printing though, so it’s not a huge concern, and like someone said above, there’s really no need for two in one room.</p>
