Do you need to bring a printer to school or is there easy access to them in the dorms.

Bring a printer.

I was planning on just using the library ptinters since I've been doing that for the past year (my printer has been broken for awhile and I'm too lazy to buy a new one). If it gets too much, I'll buy one up there.

i recall from an earlier thread that if you are a stern student then there are 3 labs in tisch i believe that have free printing.

Yup free printing in Stern 24/7. Steinhart also has free printing, but it closes at like 10 or something.

oooooooooh. so no free printing.....I wasn't aware of that. GOOD to know :)

no free printing? doesnt it say that there is free printing?

Can all students use these labs or just Steinhart/Stern?

Everyone can get free printing at the ITS computer labs, not just Sternies and Tischies. (Sternies and Tischies have a few labs dedicated to their use.) A printer's not needed, but sometimes nice when you're in a rush.

Depending on what resience hall you live in you may have a computer lab that is open 24 hours. Even if you don't you can always go to 3rd North's computer lab which is open 24 hours or to the many others ones when they are open. If you can afford a printer obviously it would be convenient, but if you can't, don't worry about it.

Anyone know if the Gallatin building has free printing in its computer lab?

What about Hayden?

i bought a cheapie printer.....Murphy's Law: Everything that can go wrong......WILL! Always good to have a printer at hand....they arent expensive....i'd buy one if i were anyone who wasnt thinking to....get a cheap HP....they may be slower (the cheaper models) but they last (at least for 4 years) and get the job done....

Canon i80 - cheap, effective, durable.
