Priority App Submitees!

Haha, this is for everyone who submitted their app by TODAY, Nov 15, 2007, Pepperdine's Priority deadline!

My English teacher looked my essay over today and said it was good to go. Now all I have to worry about is the ACT next month!

uhhh...I think all your materials have to be in by today, not just the app. Also Pepperdine has several essays, don't they?

Yes, they do.

What do you mean "all your materials"?

If you mean transcripts, teacher recs, up-to-date scores plus the application, then yes.

I think what NJlaxfan169 was questioning was that you said you had to take your ACT next month meaning that then your scores would not have been sent in yet and possibly missing materials or requirements. Good luck to you!

Well, all my SAT scores have been sent, and I've emailed them about my ACT score situation. The ACT is mostly for the other schools I'm applying to.

I've submitted 4 apps in two days, yaaay!

This from a Pepperdine admissions officer:

"You may submit updated test scores until the January 15th deadline; they will be considered in your admission decision"

Yeah.

I submitted my app on the 14th.

Have any of you visited Pepperdine?

Unfortunately, no. But all I hear about is how gorgeous it is!

I don't know if you have read this already, but here is what I posted about my visit to Pepperdine....and if you have any other questions I'll try to answer them.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/pepperdine-university/323618-my-campus-visit.html#post3893240

I sent in my application on the 14th, too. Hopefully they got all my school stuff by then, but I gave all the forms to the school a week and a half before, so I'm sure I'm fine. Just something else to stress over.

I just wish we could find out earlier! Having to apply by Nov. 15th and then wait all the way until April (am I right on that?) is painful.

Anyway, I was just there for Preview Day last Saturday and the campus was gorgeous. Pictures really don't do it justice, let me say that. People were wonderful, too. Only really positive things to say about my visit!

polkahard: I called the admissions office and they said not to worry about teacher recs/transcripts being in right away. Their computer system was down or something, and they said as long as your app is in by the 15th, you'll be fine. No worries :)!

And yeah...I'm pretty sure we won't find out until late-March early April. Can a past Pepperdine applicant confirm?

Hey So Cal18. I have visited there about a thousand times. haha I am there about 3 times a week. I only live 30 minutes away so I am there all the time. It's a beautiful campus. I am not a student (yet) :) but if you have any questions I would be happy to answer.

Seconding what KBaher said about recs/transcripts... When I applied I remember something ended up being sent a little late, and I still got a great scholarship (application was in by the deadline, of course).

Judging by the past couple of years, acceptance letters go out within the last week of March, and then they send the rejection letters after those.

Good luck everyone!

ennaxor, what are the lowest stats you've heard of someone getting in to Pepperdine?

I have the CDS, but I'm curious about first-hand knowledge. Thanks!

I'm not sure... Looking through the past couple years posts on here from people who've gotten in, the lowest GPAs I've found are 3.2 and 3.08, both with an 1800 on the SAT.
