Hi I applied to housing today. I hope to get into Wildwood for fall/spring 2014/2015. My priority number is 255. Are my chances good?

They are great. How did you get through? Lol

Daughter’s number is 565

My daughters is 718. Under 1000 is a spectacular number and will likely get someone their first choice.

Daughter is 309. She wants Wildwood.

We still can’t get on. So frustrating.

Just made it under the 1000 mark - in the 970’s - hopefully that is good enough.

I didn’t see a single option on the form, how does someone pick a single?

Also for Florida Prepaid it said you don’t send a deposit, they get it from them. If you end up going to another school, do they not bill them at all or do they refund Fl Prepaid?

Also - I didn’t see anything (but I did it fast) saying you would pay extra with Fl Prepaid or that you want only dorms that it will cover. I don’t want to be limited to only the Fl Prepaid dorms, so is there somewhere I need to check off? I’ll call housing someday and ask, but there is no getting a hold of them anytime soon.

Did the online contract-- where is my priority number?

Did you click My Home and then Check Status? It is in there.

Just found it. It is in “light color font” at the bottom of the status check page.

Got it done with only a few grey hairs. Son got #759 and he’s in the honors college. Would that mean that he’s got a good shot at his choices?

I guess we were one of the lucky few that got in. It was slow to load each page but it worked. My daughters first pick was Wildwood figuring we would be in 500-1000 range but we got below a 70 priority number. Are there any special rooms in Wildwood this will help get or is there any other dorm anyone would recommend that is harder to get into? She is not honors so I’m guessing Landis will not be an option.

If she wants to live on the east side of campus instead of in Wildwood, Broward basically is the building that’s non-Honors that seems to be the most “difficult” to get placed into, because it only houses a small amount of residents.

I applied for the Fall 2014/Spring 2015 Housing Contract. I got a priority number of 1276. What are my chances of getting Broward, Wildwood, or Degraff as my dorm?

My # was 175. Do I have a good shot at getting a double room with a private bath in either Gilchrist, Cawthorn, Broward or Wildwood?

Not really. You’re going to be in a room with a semi-private bathroom (it’s only shared with a 2nd room, so about 4 people will share it, instead of the entire floor). The rooms with truly private bathrooms are generally saved for RAs or students with documented health reasons for needing them.

Gilchrist is, I believe, still Honors-only housing, so you would likely need to be in Honors to be allowed to live there. If you’re in the Honors program, you’ll be able to live there. If not, Cawthon or Broward are likely.

What about wildwood, since it’s also a larger dorm that houses more students?

Pasbal, do you think I can get into Wildwood with a priority number of 255? Also my roommate has one of 957 so would that greatly effect my chances?

ashmn1, I was focusing more on the private bath aspect of your question. You’re basically going to get whatever your first building choice is for housing with a number that low. The setup for just about every suite-style room is for two rooms to share a bathroom. There are some triples and a few quad rooms, but aside from that the majority are doubles with semi-private bathrooms.

marcie- Wildwood houses 700 students. Some are members of various living-learning communities, but the majority of the building is students outside these communities. You’ll get Wildwood most likely with either number, although a 255 basically guarantees Wildwood.
