My son was accepted the other day to the summer term. So I was only able to get a priority number today.

Is Priority Number 1036 good/bad?

BTW, a first time poster - and I am finding this board very helpful.

welcome to cc and the fsu board. it is great that you are on the board. considering the freshman class will be around 5,000 students, he is in the top 20% with his housing number. there are many nice dorms at fsu and not all students go for the same one.

while he may not get his first pick for the fall, he certainly should land in a nice dorm. remember, the number you have is for the fall 2009 term. your son was admitted for the summer term (as was my s last year). there is an entireley different process for obtaining a housing priority number for the summer term. my recolection was that some time in january (call the housing department to find out), you will be able to login to the housing portion of the fsu web site and get a priority number for the summer.

my son got a 92 priority number for the summer term last year and got his first choice dorm (gilchrist) for the summer session, which he loved.

he had already gotten a low fall priority number (thanks to this board) and now lives in wildwood hall, which is one of the newest dorms on campus.

anyway. congrats on getting in, welcome to the tribe and let us know if you have any other questions.

With the large newer dorms, I would think numbers around 1000 will still be able to get into the more popular choices.

I would agree.

Thanks for the help!
