It doesn’t make too much difference, 30% or 35% , ultimately it depends on luck mostly … Seriously, the tension is building up. I’m guessing they’ll notify within 12th / 13th …

Luck has very little to do with it.

@MrMom62 I think EdWood meant more along the lines of that, when comparing two really similar percentages, it gets to the point when two students may have similar stats, but if the college has the slightly lower acceptance rate of the two and needs a clarinet player for their orchestra, and one student plays clarinet and the other doesn’t, they will choose the clarinetist over the non-clarinetist, whereas with the slightly higher percentage they may be able to accept both students. I hope that makes sense…

So, luck as in how well one fits the individual and somewhat unpredictable needs/preferences of the college. (sorry for double-posting)

I understand that, one school referred to that as the fourth bucket - what exact do we need to round out the class, which can be unpredictable. I suppose one could call that luck, but in reality, A.) there are ways to find out if they need a clarinet player, it’s not just going to be a random clarinet player who they take, and B.) it’s never about the clarinet player, it’s more likely the defensive back or point guard, and again, they know who they want, not just some random person. They just say clarinet player to keep all the geeks happy and hide the fact that it’s mostly athletes who get the breaks like that.

Do the decisions come out online or will we get them in the mail?

@tiva_mcabby5: mail. They haven’t sent out priority review decisions yet. I’ve been hunting their twitter updates every hour by the hour.

Wait— so there’s no way to view your decision online??

@tarincrickett They’ll let you when they’ve made a decision. However, they’ll send you an email if you’ve been accepted some time after you’ve received your letter.

Can anyone say definitively whether the PR acceptance letters will include information on FA packages?

@jkeil911 Using the Class of 2017 page as a reference, they come a little later after acceptance letters come out.

@Mmorkous96 - Got any twitter updates !?

@edwood09 not yet. They’ll post in the middle of the day. In a few hours or so

Still nothing :/

suddenly my application says I am regular decision… why?

my D’s myroc this afternoon says “cannot find username/password”. It was at Step 4 as of yesterday (Her application was tagged as priority review).

@Colin2014 , you should e-mail your Rochester counselor or admissions immediately … It happened to me as well… I emailed them several times and after a week or so they changed my status to PR

Did anybody’s status move? I remember last year, they sent out replies on 2/14. Are they delayed this year?

Mine is still on step 4, but that may be because my application is technically incomplete (will not be able to send midyear report until March).

My application is on step 4 right now. All my materials, including my Midyear has been sent.
