Priority Waitlist Chances?

Hi everyone, I was put on the SCS Waitlist... and I was just wondering if anyone knew what my chances of getting in if I opted for the priority waitlist. Here are some stats (I'm an International Student).

SAT
CR: 640
M: 710
W: 710

SAT Subjects
Math: 800
Chem: 800
Phys: 770

IB Predicted Grades
Math HL: 7
Phys HL: 7
Chem HL: 7
Eng A1 SL: 6
Business SL: 7
Spanish ab initio SL: 7

Class Rank
About top 3% of about 100 students.

Recs
3 very strong ones, I believe

Essays
CommonApp and supplemental essays were quite creative and meaningful (somewhat philosophical as well).

ECAs and Work: A relatively balanced list

Anybody familiar with CMU's priority waitlist process and admission rate?

Thanks.

You are a strong candidate. Especially your predicted grades are impressive. Does CMU ask for IB predicted grades? Or was it you who sent them?

Thanks for your reply.

Yes, CMU asks for predicted IB grades and official school transcripts. My school sent them on my behalf.

What do you think may be CMU’s priority wait-list rate this year, considering last year’s low rate and the financial instability?

financial crisis will definetely affect the number of student who will be admitted through waitlists. because there will be less people to afford tuition, so these students will look for colleges they received financial aid. one way or another, i assume that people who didn’t apply for financial aid and placed on the waiting list will have a better chance this year.
