Privacy and the Academy

New Parents. The upperclass cadets here are all going way above and beyond. The pictures are a very special treat as I am sure many of you have already experienced. I tried to caution in an earlier thread about using discretion regarding these efforts. As upperclassmen they are required to interact with your Basic Cadets in some specific manners. While many have established “Prior Relationships” through the annual dinners and orientations they (Upperclassmen) could still easily find themselves in difficulty if someone else percieved their interaction as “Fraternization”. I konw that none of the CC upperclassmen would cross that line, but all it takes is someone with an ax to grind.

Please if it regards anything personal or the pictures use the PM function. The Academy and Air Force take information security very seriously, and would not want to see your Cadets personal info out there for everyone to grab.

This may seem rather simple for many who regularly post here, but for those who are new or have not used "PM" here's what you do:

PM = Private Message

To send one, click on the person's User ID and a drop down menu will appear.
Click on "Send a Private Message to ..."

Ok, I'm a little OCD. Sorry. ;-)

The 3 digs are also prohibited from interacting with the Basics during BCT.
