Question for Cadets

I’m just kindof curious if a cadet could explain this new plan

Is '10’s basic really gonna be that much harder than everyone else’s?

Wait and find out. No one on these boards right now will be able to give you an accurate answer to that becuase no one knows, and how it actually goes will not be truly known until it happens. Just prepare as much as you can; don't worry about the details now as your priority should not be on specifics.

It looks like the "system" is going back to pre-2003 sex scandal times in terms of difficulty. Thus, of all the classes that will be at the Academy for our doolie year, all of the upper-classes will have been around during some sort of "transition time" due to the sex scandals. We'll be the first to, hopefully, return to pre-sex scandal levels of training.

I personally welcome it with open arms. If I wanted the easy way out, I would've picked ROTC or OCS. I'm not showing up on I-day to be treated like a little princess, I want my butt kicked.

I welcome it too. One of the biggest reasons I wanted to attend a military academy was for the challenge, and the resulting greater feeling of accomplishment.

Regardless of whether this summer will be "harder" than years previous to it, every year is a tremendous challenge in its own aspects. Every class has something that others didnt and every class misses out on something that other classes have had. Just keep a good attitude, work hard and any class year will be challenging and rewarding.
