Private and Public Schools that offer the most Financial Aid?

Hello everyone,

I've been searching for 8 months now for a good college plan for me, and now it's just driving me insane. I am not a merit scholar, i did fine in high school though. overall gpa was at a 3.1.

I've emailed over 15 programs/organizations that say they help kids like me and either they won't respond or won't help. It get's really irritating.

I got accepted into every school i applied to, but I also applied to pretty bad schools. I plan on attending a school that costs about $20k total a year (that's with tuition and room/board and everything else). However, that enough, is still way too much for my family and I.

I plan to do the best I can for 1.5 or 2 years then to transfer. But, apparently they give transfer students even less aid, and since I'm international, I would assume even less. There's no point for me to apply for transfer if a school doesn't give any aid, because the schools I'd want to transfer to cost like 35-55k a year.

So, I thought I'd just ask you guys. Do you know of any Public or Private colleges that do give aid that will greatly help? Any school known for giving a lot of aid?

For an intnl transfer, our best shot is getting 2 years of great college grades and then looking at schools that meet need for all.

It’s slim pickings for intnls, try to love your current college.
