Private scholarships (Full ride)

I’ve come across the fact on some international college application forums that there are some private organizations that sponsor or provide full ride scholarships to international students based on their stats and academics. Can you list some of those scholarships because I cannot find any scholarship or aid that can make you afford 4 years of college? All I’ve found is grants (small, <$10,000)

I just read one of your other FA threads. You received the answer to your question there. No, there are no magical money pots that are going to pay $280,000+ in COA. As an international student, you will also need to factor in approx $12,000 in health insurance over 4 yrs, plus $??? in travel expenses.

Fwiw, many US citizens with similar profiles cannot afford to attend the schools you want to attend, my children included. Kids in the US who cannot afford those schools seek merit scholarships at schools that offer them to high stat students. Those schools with generous large full ride scholarship students tend to be lower ranked. There are a handful of schools that have a very limited number of large scholarships that are higher ranked, but I don’t know if those extremely competitive schools’ scholarships are even open to international students. Alabama was recommended to you on the other thread and there you would have received their elite scholarship. That was probably not your best bet.

International students tend to be name brand seekers, so they dismiss such schools, but it wouldn’t have probably have been affordable.

Here is your other thread…read it again.

I can not see how this situation has changed.

Oops, I typed my fist post in a hurry this morning and my iPad was having issues and I didn’t proofread. Totally incorrect context.

.It should have read that Alabama WAS probably your best bet and WOULD HAVE been affordable.

MODERATOR’S NOTE: Since the OP already has a thread started about financial aid, I am closing this one. Users can respond to that thread by clicking on the link in post #2. Thanks!
