*I had a long post typed out, but I'd figure you guys would be bored to death, so here's the simplified version.

I'm currently 20 years old at CSULB, majoring in photography with a lousy 2.58 GPA. It will take me approximately 3 more years to graduate because I was in a different major, so now I'm lagging on prereqs.

I've already missed the TAG period for Fall 2011 so I can't even be considered until 2012. Assuming I can graduate from UCSB just 1 year after if I stay at CSULB, should I make the transfer? I guess what I'm trying to say is I want to be able to enjoy college, something I'm not currently getting at CSULB and I'm hoping UCSB can fill that void (heard nothing but good things from all my cousins and uncles that went there). Having to rush at 22 would feel kind of weird though. If age is a huge factor I might reconsider going there at all.

Right now winter semester 2010 at CSULB is about to come to an end. TAG applications start 9/1/011. Can I stay in CSULB for spring 2011, drop out after, and register to be a CC student in the summer of 2011 or will that not work? I'm just worried if something goes wrong I'll be out of CSULB and stuck at a CC. Asking my school counselors will not help; they don't know anything. I've asked 3 different counselors already.

Thanks in advance.
