Does rice screen the Baylor scholar pool before passing the candidates to Baylor's? Also, can the app be postmarked on December 1st? I thought the apps were due Mid December :(

thanks

edit:
I'm gonna send it anyway but should I attach an apology for it being late/near late?

All apps can be postmarked by the due date. I dont think there is a point in sending it in late though. Maybe, not sure. Just try to get it in today.

I think Rice/Baylor screens the pool first. Because you can get into R/B, just get into RIce or get into neither.

I was at the Explore Rice thing and specifically asked - they said Rice screens you, and then a number of applicants get through to Baylor, who then picks who they want to interview. So you go through Rice first - I guess they relook over applications of people that got accepted or something? Not sure…

It needs to be received, but no harm in trying. I’m sure they’ll still consider you, as it takes a lot of time and effort filling out that thing, so you at least showed initiative. I have a feeling applying for that program helps out a bit for your general application, if you’re interested in medicine, through interest in the stuff of the school a bit. But I am probably wrong :).

I logged into my Rice thing to check application material statuses, and it said received for my R/B application - so you can try checking that in the next few days to see if it worked? Mine got in there tuesday I think, so they update within a few days.
