<p>It took me (more or less) all day to write my "Why NU?" essay and it's only ~250 words.</p>

<p>I think my essays are fluffed up. I'm a good BSer (and I take pride in that!) But, I can't really produce artistic writing all that well. This is the major loophole in the American public education system--whenever I have a writing assignment, I always write small and blab on so the teacher doesn't actually read it and rather skims through it or just notices how long it is and realizes that he/she doesn't want to waste the time, so I just get a good grade regardless of the quality.</p>
