MSU offers freshmen students in the Honors College with a 33 ACT the opportunity to be in the Professorial Assistantship program. They qualify for a "job" working with a professor (approx $2500/yr.) plus a scholarship ($5000/yr.) Anyone know if there is flexibility on the 33 ACT? My D has a 32, but a 33 superscored. She is currently first in her class at her full-IB programme high school with unweighted 4.0 GPA and solid school-related ECs. The extra $7500/yr. would potentially sway her to attend MSU. (She has not yet applied to MSU or been admitted to the Honors College, so this all may be pre-mature. I guess there are no guarantees that a strong HS student will be invited to the HC.)
