What other colleges have a program like Brown’s COE (Entrepreneurship). I’m interested in the engineering track of the program. My goal is to create my own business. Would this be the best program for that? I was also thinking about a business major(at another school) or an engineering degree. I am also interested in medicine and may pursue that. Will that be possible with the COE concentration? Any comments would be much appreciated. Thanks

Hm… look for schools with both an undergraduate business degree and a school of engineering. Email the business departments at those schools and ask for recommendations. Heck, email the Brown folks and see if they can lead you anywhere.

Department staff, etc. are usually very nice and helpful.

Doesn’t UPenn have a really competitive dual engineering-business program? A kid that graduated from 08 at my old hs got into that.

If you preferred the engineering aspect, but wanted to get some entrepreneurship, there’s Olin in Needham. Though if you tell them you wouldn’t be doing engineering if you didn’t go there, you’ll probably not get in… just a hint from one who’s learned. They’re very hands-on, and partner with Babson (a very good business school). Though the loss of scholarship is not a big plus, even if the school has many other pluses besides that.
