Prom Diets

Eh, I gain weight when I exercise

^ Muscle weights more than fat!

i know how you feel like i have been running evveryday for like a month and fill like i just keep getting fatter

so is cutting down on cookies the only way to do it?

also the day before don’t eat alot of salt… cuts down bloating!

can’t sayy i’ll really be doing any exercising for prom. i play softball. but i exercise all year round and am in good shape soo i’m not doing anything special

I would be embarrassed to go to prom with someone that has to go on a special diet beforehand.

I’m not gonna lie, this is pretty dangerous but man it works.

Days 1-3: eat as little as humanly possible, I mean if you can get bye on an apple and a cracker then that’s great
Days 4 - 15: eat one small meal and one small snack that should come to around 700 calories total
Days 16 - 25: eat two small/reglar meals with no snacks
Days 26 - 35: maitenance mode, eat 3 small/regular meals avoiding all snacks with total calorie count at around 1200 - 1350

I went from 149 to 125 on this. I know it’s crazy and probably really dangerous, but so far I’ve kept all but 4 pounds off for nearly 2 years so it worked really well for me. The whole point of this to get through the first 3 days, once I got through those, I started to feel much less hungry and was really content on the one meal one snack deal until it started to get really socially awkward so I added in some more meals. Now I eat like I normal person a 2000 calorie diet and daily exercise but I really needed to go on a crazy diet to get over the hump.

Yeah, actually, if I want to lose weight before something, I just don’t eat for like a week. I’m a million times better at that than I am at dieting. But I have ballet 4 days a week and I eat healthfully, I don’t really need too. I just always think I’m hugely fat. Today I was wearing size zero jeans (they’re a total lie. Clothing from Saks runs huge) and I had muffin top, so I felt gross (I was wearing a jacket for that express purpose. No one sees my muffin top. And they really seriously fit me perfectly everywhere else. They were $200 off, only available in one size. I couldn’t not buy them. They’re the only jeans I ever want to own for the rest of my life).

ahahhahahahah this is such a silly thread

I don’t really eat much the few weeks before prom. It works.

raiderade
THANKS
hope it works

And just a note, even though my username makes me sound like a guy, I’m a fairly girly girl who goes to an all-girls school.

You are not going to convince me that that’s healthy.

Going to prom a teeny bit out of shape is much better than anorexia, in my opinion. It’s not like anybody cares what you look like anyways.

It’s not anorexia and it’s not healthy, but sometimes people really do have to resort to such extremes to even get down to a healthy weight. Hard to believe, but sometimes losing weight is really hard.

Don’t worry, I don’t think it’s healthy at all, I wish I didn’t have to do it. But in order to get down to a healthy weight where I could eat normally, I had to do something serious to get over the hump. If there was a healthier way, I would have done it. But the typical healthy diet and exercise thing just didn’t work for me.

I run 6 miles in the mornings and then I have rowing practice in the afternoons, so I don’t really diet… :P

i’ve eaten 1500 calories a day since november. i also became a vegetarian (unrelated reasons) and go to the gym for 30 minutes every other day or so.

since then i’ve gone from 159 to 135, and dropped from a size 10 to a size 2.

the real trick is to count calories.

OMG, you’re 135 and a size 2? I weigh a bit less than that, but I can very, very rarely fit a size 2. I guess you must be tall.
I never worry about counting calories, but I’ve never tried to lose any significant amount of weight because I’ve always been a size 4.

nah i’m only 5’4"…i think it’s just most of my fat gets distributed around my belly and not my thighs. especially since when i’m at the gym i only use the elliptical so only my legs get the workout.
