Prom Hair

Alright, going along with the sudden wave of prom-related threads..

still haven’t picked how I want my hair done, only 1.5 days left…

so suggestions please. Pictures, links, comments, whatever. Oh, I definitely want it to be an updo though, im pretty sure. Guys, feel free to comment to, whatever you like..

Oh, I'll lurk around, too. I'm getting my hair done Saturday, but I don't really have an idea (except for the fact that I want an updo).

what does your dress look like (style, neckline)?

Thin shoulder straps, neckline plunges rather deep..

Go with a fro.

an updo of some sort.. what color is the dress?

Haha labondlie I’ll do it if you do it ;)
Ahh it’s a red dress!

I'm not going to prom. I'm going backyard camping with some friends instead.

And I don't think my hair would fro. It's too fine and thin.

have it as natural looking as possible, my guy freind just told me he hates up dos because they look bad and its just another thing they feel that have to dodge while dancing with u. Really, just if u get it done ask for a loose natural looking up do, those tight things that make ur forehead huge and little one strand bangs are way out.

my hair fros. esp. in the morning when i wake up-- va-va-VOOM-y hair. then i straighten it.

My hair is stick straight, kind of. It kinks if I have it in a ponytail/sleep on it. But... I don't have to straighten it, ever. I just blowdry it, and it's perfect. I honestly can't complain about my hair. I used to not like it, but it's so easy I love it now.

The only thing wrong with it is that it shows oil like mad.

My hair always fros...I stopped buying hats a long time ago since every few months they would not fit lol.

I am thinking of straightening my hair for prom...it would be a welcome change since a curling iron...well really heat in general has not touched my hair for almost two years.

Still, would a straight hairstyle be too plain for prom? =/

oh, shaddix, straight would be hella fly for prom. you would stand out because so many girls get updos, etc...

everyone does an updo...try long with waves

Uh huh. If you have to straighten your hair to make it straight, straight is fine for prom.

Of course, if you're like me, you'll be lazy and not really doing anything special to it

Straighten it because:
-- It won't start to look kinky
-- It'll still look great if it gets out of place
-- like hotpiece said, you will stand out
-- more focus on dress/face

Part it on the side and make sure there's lots of volume with minimal product.

Straight it shall be...I think people will freak out. All I have had for two years now is big hair...

People freak out when my hair is curly. When I have curly hair, my name is Sue.

Straight hair is fun. We call it fast hair. But fast in the sense of running and it being more aerodynamic.

straight's not plain if you work it right;)
i could get my hair to fro if i tried, but i'd rather not...

lookin at some old magazines, i saw pictures of hilary swank and naomi watts at the oscars - gorgeous. what do you think? and then i loved jennifer garners and sandra bullock's, too. so many choices..

People freaked out when I figured out the straightening iron. "hey, look at martha, she doesn't have a mane anymore"
