Well, I'm not sure whether I should do my hair outside or just do it myself. Anyone doing their hair at home? I don't mean just use a hot iron and curly your hair, I mean doing a prom up-do. There are ways to learn to do an up-do by yourself. I heard that prom up-do's cost over 100 dollars in hair salons and I don't have that kind of money. Anyone know how much it will cost to do it in a hair salon? I have a friend and her sister goes to beauty school, she will ask her sister if she can do my hair...I might get it at a cheaper price. It will still probably cost almost 100 dollars. I don't want to spend too much just for a one night dance.

Really? 100 dollars? Man, I just go in for a trim before prom and ask my hairdresser to just glam me up for prom. It costs like 20 dollars more. But then again, I don’t live in NYC or anything with extremely high prices for things.

For other dances, I just had my friends do my hair. We look up things online or in magazines and it’s not that hard to do. You can’t do the really complicated things but there are simple ones that were totally doable.

I’m just going for a laid back wavy look so I just need to wave my hair by myself and have my friend do that braid-hairband thing. Keeping it nice and simple this year I’ll go all out senior year. So yeah, just get a friend to do it if you don’t have that much money. I have some friends who are AMAZING with hair. Like, they even cut my hair sometimes when I just need a trim or something!
